I'm Fine- Baruch HaShem

My yishuv (settlement) was fired on tonight by our neighbors- the Arab village across the highway. I was putting my son to bed, he was had just said his Shema. Then Pow, Boom Bom BoomBom... I though poor dog knocked something over. I have never heard machine gun fire in real life. This was live. my house reverberated with the sound. My Husband was still at work. I was alone with my child. I turned out the lights, and sat by the phone. My neighbors- and friends- from across the street came to get my son and I so we would not be alone in our house.

I say- Let's evict the Arabs and we can live in peace.

We are fine- Thank You HaShem! -My ROCK and My Redeemer. ... I shall fear no evil.

Mekubal & Moshiach

HaRav Hamekubal Shimon Dahan Shlita. In his words. Simply. I have been keeping an eye out for information from him. Nava (Dreaming of Moshiach) has posted his shuirim in english.

I am not at all shocked at his statements. Funny, I am so sure that he is right that I am posting it here. Reminder: I am a Dati Leumi woman- I cover my hair with bright colorful scarves, I wear long flowing skirts... I am a bohemian momma. Wow, Hashem has really brought me a long way.

May Hashem allow us to celebrate the final redemption soon with a new song. (I'll get the tambourine!)

Silencing a Song

Erez Levanon was murdered yesterday while in meditative davening... by two Pali's who were lying in wait for "political reasons". Disgusting. He live with his wife and 3 children in Yesha.
In his honor, I post this link to music he made.

May HaShem avenge the deaths of this gentle soul.

Exactly my point!

This was exactly my point! Please read about how America has shown it's friendship towards Israel. This piece Dr.Gil-White wrote is exactly waht I was talking about. Friends don't push friends into a fiery hell. read this:

Sometimes...

Yom Kippur, 5766, HaRav Kaduri, stated that Jews need to move to Eretz yisrael because there was going to be an increase of natural disasters and also to prepare for Moshiach's arrival.

This was after my husband and I had decided that we were going to make aliyah to Israel. But it sure helped us know we were on the right path.

Rav Kaduri was a Gadol Hador- one of the great scholars of our generation. The Ben Ish Chai and the Lubavetcher Rebbi both blessed him, that he would see Moshiach in his lifetime. He made very few statements, but those he made were purposeful and were to assist us in knowing more, and for being prepared.

I find it comforting that we have these words and those of the Naviim to help us at this time. I have felt a bit like a person afloat on a huge ocean with out any signs of land. These words help me immensely.

I was quoted on the blog Mystical Paths, and I was humbled greatly. After all, who am I? I'm only one woman who has faith that HaShem will be my shield and send our redeemer. There are a lot more women like me out there. But I can only aspire to their modesty, in that they have no need to share their views. I am compelled.

There are stories that, in very olden times, there were people who would sit in the marketplace or at the entrances of cities and remind the multitudes that HaShem controls all, and that he wants us to do teshuvah and return to Him. I feel like one of those people sometimes. It's hard to watch the majority go on living like there is no G-d (chas v'chalila).

There are people who believe that Rabbi Schneerson is still alive. That he is testing them by staying hidden for so long. There are those that believe that there is no such thing as Moshiach(G-d Forbid!), seriously misguided, depressed and eternally angry at us for even suggesting such a thing.

Then there are people who believe that, indeed, Moshiach is coming. That we have only so much time to return, that we have only so much waiting left to be done.

I live in Israel. I am on of those who are waiting. I wish I could convince more people - in a more eloquent way, that living life according to Torah is so freeing and so beautiful, that to live without it is a nightmare. We are not just people G-d created, we are His nation. We have to be different, we have to be moral, and good, and holy and pure. This is our Job. AND IT IS HARD IN THE BEGINNING! but then, it is so simple and so easy...

I know- I did it. I know it's scary to be looked at as a fanatic, as an extremist. All because you decided to change, to follow the path of HaShem. Sometimes I feel like I'm treading water and not swimming. Sometimes I feel like I'm not doing enough to influence people in the right way, to hope and know that our redemption will come- it's only a matter of time. Sometimes, I want the world to know that HaShem is watching us and loving us.

My 2 agurot

Okay, I've cooled down and I am ready to give my opinion.

We really do have a problem. It goes beyond my loosing my beautiful home. It goes beyond my son attending different schools, and making friends again. It goes beyond the city housing prices vs. yishuv housing prices.

This boils down to a couple of issues.

1. Do the Jews have a right to live on this land?

2. Do we believe we have a right to live in this the land?

I think that "leaders" today deny the right of Jews to live in the land of Israel. Yes, we are tolerated but only to the extent that we capitulate to demands of bullies and thugs. The US is a bully, disguised as a friend. No true friend would pressure you to harm yourself, as the US is doing to Israel. No true friend would say that you should allow the bully to beat you up, time and time again, and to believe that this is the last time. No true friend would walk into your home, survey it, and tell you that you really shouldn't have your kitchen or bedroom- you could do with out it. This is what Condi Rice does many times a year. What she parades herself around here as if this is her home! The PA & Co. are thugs, murderers and sociopaths. There.

Back to the issue of do Jews have a right to live in Israel- we have as much right to Israel as the Chinese to China. This has been our home for millennium. It's hard for people who do not believe in G-d to understand how G-d chose us to live here. This is our home, and it is the most liberal and nonreligious people in the world who continue to deny our right to live here. (ergo my belief that the war we are in is of religious values and not land values) They uproot freshly planted trees- by children!- because the Arabs are "humiliated" - if that's not the biggest bunch of hooey, what is?

Do Jews believe we have a right to Israel -all of it. NO. Too many are so assimilated and brainwashed, that they are not able to open their eyes to see the truth. Those of us who can open our eyes, are fighting with all our might to live what we believe. WE are driving past Arab villages- daily- with gps tracking systems in our cars to aid in our rescue should these "peace partners" decide that our car is the target for the next attack. We love our inheritance, and thank our Creator daily for the great gift He has bestowed upon us. But, as with many great positions, comes greater responsibilities.

This is where the Jews are going awry. We are not behaving in a responsible manner. We have representatives (Olmert & Co.) telling the world that we don't really have a right to this land. Their pacifism has suicidal overtones. Are we supposed to guard lives- even our own? Think about it.

We need to separate ourselves from the secular thinking and look at things through the eyes of Jews. Honest to goodness, g-d fearing Jews.

Olmert is not one. He is a self hating coward. He has spoken so well for himself, I need not expound.

Disengagement? Apparently Still on the Table...

Unfortunately- Olmert wasn't joking... my comment to follow. This was begging to be posted! Really- my comments are coming, but it is taking some time! In the meantime...What do you think?

Olmert Promises Foreign Press Withdrawal is "a Process"

4 Adar 5767, 22 February 07 07:31
by Ezra HaLevi
(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with the foreign press corps Wednesday, taking questions and promising that withdrawal from Judea and Samaria is “a process.”

Olmert began by delivering a prepared statement in English, saying that although Israel, backed by the so-called Quartet, will not accept a Palestinian Authority (PA) government that does not accept Israel’s right to exist and shun terror, he will continue to conduct talks with Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen).

“I will continue to maintain the bilateral track. I will meet with Abu Mazen. My staff will meet with his staff on a regular basis, hoping to create the necessary environment that will be helpful for the relations between us and them. We want to contribute to the quality of life of the Palestinian people living in Gaza and in the West Bank. We believe that however mistaken their leadership can sometimes be, people don’t have to suffer from the mistakes of their leaders.”

Olmert also addressed the Iranian threat in a similar manner to his speech at the Herzliya Conference, putting much hope in the international community. “It appears that up until now the Iranians did not respond in a manner that all of us wanted and therefore the international community will have to think of additional measures in order to influence the Iranians to change their basic position. My personal view is that the sanctions that were already applied and other measures taken by the international community, including financial measures, are effective. They influence and they make an important contribution to what may eventually appear as a new perception of opportunities and realities for the Iranians…A lot more has to be done, but I think that the Iranians are not as close to the technological threshold as they claim to be.”

Olmert ended his speech with a list of Israel’s economic achievements since he took office, mentioning American billionaire Warren Buffet’s confidence in Israel as he did at the Herzliya Conference and in his address to the OU convention.

Olmert then answered questions from news correspondents.

A BBC correspondent asked: “When the Israeli public voted you into office a year and a half ago, it was [due to] your promise to withdraw from large parts of the Occupied Territories. Why are you still building in the West Bank?”

Olmert answered, saying: “It is true that I said that I want to reach a new agreement, preferably that will allow the Palestinians to have their State alongside the State of Israel. This is my vision. This is the vision of the United States. This is the vision of the international community, and I share this vision entirely…The strategy has remained the same and I haven’t changed my vision and I haven’t changed my commitments, and I'm going to do everything in my power to continue to build up bridges between me and Abu Mazen that will allow both of us to move forward on this direction that I have set forth for my country when I ran for the election.”

Addressing the claim that Israel is building in Judea and Samaria, Olmert said, “There is not any violation of the basic Israeli commitment that there will not be any building outside of the existing settlement limits as they were. There is natural growth and everything that was done was done within the framework of the existing settlements as a result of natural growth. There is not any government building, there is no policy of building, there are no government investments in the territories, certainly not in the last year.”

Israeli-Arab journalist Majdi Halbi then asked, in Hebrew, how long Israel will continue to restrain itself in the face of rockets and attempted suicide bombings.

Olmert declined to answer the question in detail, saying, “The answer is that we are not going to restrain ourselves forever…However, I'm not going to give you now any specific timetable or dates of when we are going to respond, but it is clear that the patience of Israel is being tested [only] too often and I think that it is a terrible mistake by the factions in Gaza that are stretching and challenging the Israeli patience for such a long time. At the end, we will respond and we will reach out for those who are responsible for the threats and for the shooting against innocent Israelis.”

Jonathan Ferziger of Bloomberg News asked Olmert what the purpose of holding summits and other such events is “if you don’t expect any substance to come out of a joint government with Hamas? And how many more trips will Condoleezza Rice have to make here? Aren’t you just spinning your wheels?”

Olmert replied: “I'll never lose my desire to talk with every Palestinian that I will find a genuine potential partner for peace with the State of Israel…Unfortunately, there are not too many, and I personally think that we have to realize that the Palestinians are divided. I will not speak with Hamas, I will not speak with Mashaal, I will not speak with Haniyeh, I will not speak with a government which does not accept the very right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state as it is. But if the Palestinian President, who was directly elected by the people, shares these basic commitments and repeats it publicly and formally, do I have to also say to him: I will not talk with you?…I think that I have to maintain that link between us and the Palestinians in order to be able to continue this dialogue, and hope that one day, perhaps, the promise of this dialogue will be stronger than the fears and the threats and the hatred and the viciousness of Hamas and its supporters.”

Ahmed Budeiri of the BBC’s Arabic-language news channel asked: “Israeli people actually voted for you to do the Realignment Plan (withdrawal from most of Judea and Samaria –ed.), and this was the campaign of Kadima. Are you still committed to this, in a sense that there is no final status negotiations with the Palestinians?”

Olmert responded, saying the withdrawal is a process that remains in effect and will result in the withdrawal from Judea and Samaria to borders that create a contiguous Palestinian State.

“The Realignment is a process,” he said. “The vision is a two-state solution. Now, the most important part, of course, is the substance - or what is the vision. What is the final permanent situation that we envision for the Palestinians and ourselves? And I am absolutely loyal to the same position that I expressed before the election, that there should be a two-state solution and that the Palestinians will have a contiguous territory in the West Bank and that they will be able to live their own secured, independent lives in their own State. And this has not changed. How to come about it, how to accomplish it, how to carry out this plan depends on circumstances. I hope that the circumstances will allow us to reach an agreement with a Palestinian government that will recognize the Quartet principles and will accept the right of Israel to exist as an independent State. And in that case, this will be the best possible way in which I will be able to carry out my commitments.”

Steven Erlanger of the New York Times asked: “The other day in parliament, before a committee, army intelligence officer, Mr. Baidatz, testified that he thought Hizbullah was stronger today than it was before the war, and your Defense Minister, Mr. Peretz, said: “No, no, no, that's not really true. Their potential is to be stronger,” and that was an unusual debate. I'm curious to ask you, as the head of the government, whether Hizbullah is stronger now than it was before the war, and if that is true, is that a failure of Israel's campaign this summer?”

Olmert dismissed the question. “Since the answer is no, I don’t think I have to go into the second part,” said the prime minister, who has never called the summer’s war anything but a victory.

“I think that Hizbullah is weaker, much weaker, than they were. It is true that they are trying to smuggle arms into Lebanon. It is true that they are making efforts in order to rearm themselves to the level that they had before the war, but it is also true that the south of Lebanon now is filled with 30,000 or 25,000 soldiers of the army of Lebanon and of the international force, which make the life of Hizbullah almost intolerable in that part of the country, and the fact is that since August 14th, there was not one case that a Hizbullah soldier surfaced in uniform and with guns in the south of Lebanon, and when it happened, by the way, then they were killed by the Israeli army when they were present there. And when they try to surface now, they are disarmed and arrested by the international force and the Lebanese force.

“So I think the fact that all along the Israeli border there are not any more bunkers of the Hizbullah, that they don’t have the same freedom of movement that they had, that there is an international force in the south of Lebanon together with the Lebanese force, has changed dramatically the basic situation in the south of Lebanon and has definitely weakened the options of Hizbullah in comparison to what it was.”

Joel Greenberg of the Chicago Tribune asked the prime minister why Israel, which has negotiated with the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization – ed.) while it was still a terrorist group, and still negotiates with Mahmoud Abbas, whose Fatah group controls several active terrorist groups, objects to negotiations with Syria due to its support of terrorist groups. “Isn’t that the point of the negotiations? In other words, wouldn’t it be wise to check their intentions and through that, to get them to stop their activities? Isn’t that the logical way to proceed in order to get them to stop the activities you say are blocking negotiations? Aren’t negotiations the key to stopping this activity?”

Olmert replied: “The purpose of negotiations is to make peace, if they take place, not to find out that the other side that you are negotiating with is not interested in the main thing which is the driving force for you, which is peace. So as I said, we are interested in peace, not in the ‘industry of peace.’ We are interested in peace, not in the process of peace. We are interested in peace with Syria, not in helping Syria pretend that it is now a peace-loving country and therefore it has to be released of all the efforts made by the international community to establish an international tribunal to inquire into the assassination of the former Prime Minister of Lebanon and of the violent Syrian involvement with Hizbullah in Lebanon…How can you try to make, sit and negotiate with someone who at the same time is preparing your assassination from the backside [sic]?”

What do you stand for?

Summer 2005, I watched the expulsion of Gush Katif live on CNN. Crying and knowing that faithful Jews needed to go home to Israel. Thank G-d, my husband knew it too.

Look at the Gush Katif expuslsion- Disaster! It emboldened the terrorists to continue with their attacks, they kidnapped our soldiers. They are working together to kill us, to take our children, to push us to the sea!

Leaders today- the UN, EU, United States, and Israel- are cowards, all! Olmert has no credibility. Bush has no credibility.

Why are so many people sleeping? Is this boring to you? What do you stand for?

If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything.

Did you think the expulsion would be better for security? Did you think that you should stay out of it?

Don't think I'm all talk...

I made Aliyah to Israel, with my husband and sons, in July 2006. Shortly after our arrival, the war with Lebanon (part II) began. I think I was here for a week… We are so happy and not at all sorry that we made this move.

"Who ever is with G-d, stand with me!"

Come home.

Our house, is a very, very, very fine house!!!

My family live in the "west bank". We live in the Benjamin region on a not so small yishuv -"settlement". Funny, this place has been in existence for thirty years. But a Yishuv it is.

Strategically, we are able to see Ben Gurion airport, Tel Aviv, Petach Tikva, Shoham.

We live in the most beautiful surroundings, the hills of Shomron are surrounding our mountain. We have a forest, and beautiful vegetation surrounds us.

Our son attends the elementary school here, walks to and from by himself. We shop at the market, attend the library, the synagogue and have been making friends.

What's the point?

The inmates running the asylum are willing to give this area away to the terrorists who will undoubtedly be shooting kassams at Israel. The EU, who can't control their own population, are offered the opportunity to gain control of this area. nuts. absolutely nuts.

My house is lovely, we have what we need here. Space, a garden, friends to fill our Shabbat table.

We have to travel twenty minutes to get to any main city center- which is no bother at all. It's 35 minutes to Jerusalem and 45 minutes to Tel Aviv. What's the rush? I love our idyllic life. We are happy here.

Now talk has turned to evil. To give this place away is a crime. If they have no place for those from Gush Katif? Where are we 200,000 Yesha residents supposed to go?
